It was a beautiful day to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the groundbreaking of Campus Martius Park. There were 2 big reveals during today’s rededication ceremony. The first was a new granite marker honoring the Detroit 300 Conservancy’s Board of Directors. The 2nd was a redesign of the Point of Origin marker. The marker now includes a clear window revealing the original stone surveyors used to create the City of Detroit’s coordinate system.

Guest speaker during today’s ceremony was Edsel B. Ford II, chairman of the Detroit 300 Conservancy.
